Dear Teachers,

Happy Mother's Day!

Today we applaud the many moms within our TpT community. As a full-time working mom myself, I know the daily struggles and triumphs that come with balancing life's demands. It's worth it, I think, but it's not easy.

Here's what I love:
Buying resources from TpT gives you time back to spend with your family.
Selling resources on TpT brings in extra income so many families need.

It's about money, yes, but it's about way more than that. It's about taking control of your life and having choices. That's no small thing. Really, it's revolutionary.

One of my favorite parts of my job (and there are many) is hearing the stories of how TpT has made the impossible possible for Teachers, and often that means for moms and their families (also for dads, grandparents, single people—everyone is welcome in our TpT family.) Whether that equals investing in further education or paying off school loans, staying home with young children or funding an adoption, the truth is that TpT changes lives for sellers and buyers both.

Please consider this to be your virtual bouquet of wildflowers (that won't make you sneeze); your breakfast in bed; your heartfelt card made of construction paper, lace doily, and glitter. However you interact with TpT, I hope it feels like a gift, a friend, and a support system.

TpT in the News

Here's a lovely four-minute segment from WJAC-TV News in Pennsylvania that features TpT teachers and their superintendent. It's great to see how being a part of TpT makes for exciting classroom experiences.

At just about 3:17 into the segment, Glendale School District Superintendent Arnold J. Nadonley says about TpT, "I think it's a great idea because not everyone has the answer to everything. So, count on your neighbors, count on your peers to share that information-and together we can all achieve more with that." We couldn't have said it better ourselves.

Happy Teaching,

TpT Community Manager

Stephanie from Teaching in Room 6 has made the Milestone! Stephanie is Nationally Board Certified, a master teacher, and has her Masters in Education. She focuses primarily on the upper elementary grades. She says, "TpT has been the best professional development and networking I could have ever asked for. Through TpT I have been able to collaborate with teachers from all over the world and refine my own practice. I can honestly say I have become a better teacher because TpT."

From Arizona, Jennifer from Simply Kinder says her goal is to "to make things that I are simple for me as a teacher, engaging for the students, and that also meet the high expectations of kindergarten today."

Krista Wallden from Delaware sells Creative Clips clipart. She says, "I have always loved drawing clipart for my own classroom resources, but never could have imagined how inspiring it would be to see my clipart used by other educators! TpT teachers keep me doodlin'!"

Congratulations to all of our TpT Teacher-Authors.

Tip: I love using stations to teach science. This is a perfect first week activity for next year to introduce station work and get students interacting with science tools! Tip: This kit will help make those interactive science notebooks shine. If you haven't used science notebooks before, I highly recommend them! Science notebooks help take students' thinking and communication to a higher level.
