My Fraction Unit includes 16 "investigations" to help students build their understanding of Common Core fractions components. I traced my thinking and my student's work through a constructivist fractions unit—truly a labor of love to create. This resource stresses problem solving, critiquing reasoning, and explaining thinking. The Common Core has increased the rigor of what we expect from students. My Year of Reading resource helps teachers "teach" students how to be better independent readers. It addresses everything from introducing genres to picking good-fit books to setting goals and monitoring independent reading time behaviors. Check out the preview.
