Grammar can be dull for students and difficult for teachers to incorporate into their classes. I've created a series of grammar lessons that are to be used the first 10 minutes of every class. Each day the short bell ringer is a page long, gives definitions and examples, and then presents work for the students to do. With literature, I've written short story lessons that include vocabulary, close reading questions, graphic organizers on specific literary terms, and higher order thinking questions. My lessons allow many learning styles to flourish and many levels of learning to take place.
