My teaching philosophy is all about ensuring that students are academically prepared to compete for their life goals. Character education lessons help students develop life habits, and provide space to process real world events. My empathy unit gives students the chance to celebrate and reflect on the skills associated with learning with your eyes, ears, and heart. Teaching about identity is important in celebrating diversity and individuality. I use my unit to explore the intersectionality of identity and privilege.
