These differentiated centers activities are made just for middle school students! Although very different from each other, both of these activities can be easily tiered for students at varying levels. Real-world word problems and scenarios incorporate problem-solving skills. After readying the activities, they can be used again and again because they work as individual practice, group centers, or for teaching in small groups. The ratio activity involves ratios in all formats and finding proportional relationships. Box plots centers focus on not only making box plots, but also on analyzing the center, spread, and shape of data.
