LGBTQ+ Books for Teens: How to Promote Diversity in Your Library
LGBTQ+ Books for Teens: How to Promote Diversity in Your Library
ELA teacher, school librarian, and Teacher-Author Addie Williams wants her students to read books from as many perspectives as possible. And she wants all of her students to feel represented and heard, too. One step she's taken is creating a display in her school library featuring books with an LGBTQ+ focus.

Have You Tried Fishbowl Discussions?
Have You Tried Fishbowl Discussions?
Fishbowl discussions are organized classroom conversations that require students to prepare thoughtful responses to deliver in class. The Daring English Teacher loves that the setting feels more like an intimate conversation than a classroom presentation — so students are comfortable opening up and sharing more.

Amazing Mathematics is all about unique and fun ways to teach Middle School and High School math. I'm always looking for new ways to engage my students. The most unique topic that I like to center my resources around is zombies. I have zombie math flip books, graphing lines and zombies activities, and I even include zombies in my substitute teacher activities! Zombies aren't the only thing you will find in my TpT store, though. Card sorts, plotting points pictures, mazes, crosswords, paper chain activities, and task cards are just a glimpse into the wide variety of math activities that I have to keep students engaged and wondering what's next. I always remind myself that if I'm bored while teaching, then my students are bored learning. Amazing Mathematics is my way of making sure students never say "Math is Boring".
