My favorite part of being a teacher is seeing light bulb moments. It's that moment when a student has been struggling and practicing and then they get it. Over my career, I have learned that to see light bulb moments students have to be engaged in the learning. The best way I know to get students motivated is by playing games or cooperative activities. Even the most unmotivated can be motivated through games. Since incorporating mazes, knockout games, bingo, and other activities, I have had the privilege of seeing lightbulb moments every day.
