As a high school literacy specialist, I find that my students walk in the door with a jaded attitude towards reading and school. As such, I believe that relationships come first, then learning. I nurture my students and create resources for literacy and executive functioning skills that are age- and ability-level appropriate. My resources are best fit for middle and high school students to use in the classroom and real life. Every teacher wants their students to feel successful, and it’s my hope that my resources allow students of all ability levels to be successful through scaffolding to take them from dependent to independent learners!
