It can be challenging to teach topics such as how to detect sarcasm or how to become a more flexible thinker or what to do when you’re experiencing anxiety. As a veteran special educator of students in grades K-12, I am constantly working to help my students become successful through the power of social emotional learning. My teaching philosophy centers on promoting self-awareness, emotional regulation, and the use of effective social skills to communicate. From printable worksheets on positive thinking to discussion cards on exaggerated language, I create resources which help teachers tackle social and emotional learning with ease!
