My philosophy is that learning should be FUNctional! When students are having fun while learning, outcomes are better. Not only is there an increased level of motivation and engagement, but their ability to recall and store information also improves. Now more than ever, with the level of rigor that our students face in the classroom, it is imperative to ensure that students feel supported, empowered, and equipped with the necessary tools to succeed. I am passionate about literacy and hold an endorsement in Reading. Therefore, everything that I create and present to my students has a solid foundation in literacy skills. This consistent reinforcement of important comprehension strategies, coupled with an emphasis on differentiation, and sprinkled with an element of FUN is a recipe for success in the classroom and beyond! |
